"Mother and her children"
In her own realm, somewhere between the material and the spiritual, between the abstract and the figurative, somewhere where there is warmth, kindness and generosity, an oasis of humanity, Farzaneh has built a world of her own.
Between her paintings and the viewer there is an immediate contact, an immediate sympathy. This is not a fantasy world. In it mingles a whole host of real earthly sentiments; it does not exclude pain or suffering yet the whole is contained in a humane world, so close to our own. The people in her paintings seem to be chiseled by suffering, at once purified and beautified by it.
Farzaneh was born in Ghaem Shar, Iran and after work as a graphic designer, she completed her studies in Tehran’s Azad University obtaining a degree in art. In addition to several solo exhibitions and participation in 13 group exhibitions, she has been teaching painting in her own studio and organizing exhibitions for her pupils in the ‘Arabaran Children’s Cultural Center’. She is an active member of the Iranian Painters Society.
